Gloria Jenkinson
Principal

I am so honored to be principal of Beechwood Middle School, home of the Bengals! I have worked in education since 1990 when I began my career in Ohio as a Spanish and English teacher. I moved to South Carolina in 1998 and began teaching Spanish at Hammond School in Columbia and then at Ridge View High School in Blythewood. I joined the Lexington One family in 2000 teaching Spanish at White Knoll Middle School. In 2004, I moved to Lexington Middle School as a technology integration specialist. In 2012, I began my career in administration as an assistant principal at Lexington Middle School. In 2014 I became principal of Lexington Middle School. In December of 2018, I was appointed principal of Beechwood Middle School and spent the following months working on opening this amazing school!
While at White Knoll Middle School and Lexington Middle School, I was named Teacher of the Year. I am a member of the South Carolina Association of School Administrators and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and English from Kent State University and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Ashland University. Brantley Foxworth
Assistant Principal

I am excited to be a Bengal! I began my career in 2014 as a math teacher and coach at Pelion High School. I moved to Lexington Middle in July of 2018 as an assistant principal before transitioning to Beechwood Middle in January of 2019. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Math Sciences and Secondary Education from Clemson University and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina. I am a member of the South Carolina Association of School Administrators and the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association.

Darlene Jackson
Assistant Principal

I am humbled to start my 32nd year in education at Beechwood Middle School. I began my teaching career at my alma mater, Valdosta High School in Valdosta, Georgia. I worked in Aiken County for eight years at Kennedy Middle School as an assistant principal. I joined the Lexington One Family in 2007 as an assistant principal at White Knoll Middle School.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Bachelor of Science in Special Education, and a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Supervision from Valdosta State University.

Jason Mills
Assistant Principal

I am excited to be part of the Beechwood family. I began my educational career as a teacher and coach at Gilbert High School. I moved into administration at Lexington Middle School as an administrative assistant and later became an assistant principal at Pleasant Hill Middle School. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Newberry College, a Master of Arts in Teaching (Social Studies) from the University of South Carolina, and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from USC. Also, I have an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family of five and our new golden-doodle puppy. My hobbies include officiating high school sports, coaching my children’s basketball and baseball teams, attending USC and Newberry College sporting events, and camping. My family and I are also very active in our local church where I teach a young adult Sunday school class and participate in a men’s group known as REAL.
