BMS Comes Alive!

While surviving the quarantine, Beechwood Middle School drama & musical theatre teacher, Shannon Boatwright, was inspired by her all-time favorite musical, The Greatest Showman. The lyrics are so appropriate in giving us all a very special reminder that we can brighten up our darkest days. BMS Principal, Gloria Jenkinson was totally supportive in having Mrs. Boatwright promote the Corona Come Alive Challenge, inviting BMS students, faculty and families to participate by submitting videos of themselves dancing to the amazing song, Come Alive from The Greatest Showman. Thanks to the awesome editing work of Mrs. Boatwright’s son, Sawyer Shull, we have together created an incredibly special video that we hope spreads joy as we all get through these difficult days together. A very extra special bonus is that we have professional actor/dancer Jeremy Hudson in our video! He is in the movie The Greatest Showman and is the uncle of our BMS 7th grader, Caden Clark. We are so honored to have Jeremy and his family featured in our video! We know this quarantine has us stumblin’ through our day. But we can flip a switch and brighten up our darkest days! Let’s take the world and redefine it! Come one, come all come in, come on! Come Alive with us, as we ride our light and let it burn so bright! BMS Bengal Pride Comes Alive…
